Pain Perdu Mexicain

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
1/8 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
2 bolillos

PREPARATION:

This is a really simple French toast recipe which is made amazing by substituting white bread with bolillos from your favorite Mexican bakery. Cut the bolillos into quarters and at an angle to increase the surface area to pick up the batter. Mix the wet and dry ingredients and dip the bread. Fry it up in butter and slather in maple syrup.
